VERY IMPORTANT that the wick is soaked in water before use to activate the moisture sensor.

If the soil is very dry water will come out immediately to wet the soil to an optimum level, once the soil is at an optimum level the rate of usage from the globe will slow down to the requirements of your plant. You can also wet the soil if you wish.
